What it is

What happens in a session

You lie down on a mat, close your eyes and listen while the gong and the bowls fill the room. There is nothing to do and nothing to get right: the body slows down on its own.

60 to 90 minutesThe sound starts softly, is held, and then fades out, with a few minutes to come back in your own time.

Arrive 15 minutes earlyOnce the sound has started, late entry is not allowed. Come a little before so you can settle without rushing.

What to bringLoose, comfortable clothes and something warm. Mats are provided; bring a pillow or a blanket if you want. Eat light one or two hours before and keep your phone on silent.

Who it is for

Anyone who can lie down and listen

No experience and no meditation practice needed. Open to visitors, residents and anyone passing through Managua. Most of the group is local, and the session itself needs no language.

Sound is the centre of the experience and the session is for a group, so the volume is not adjusted for one person. If loud sounds are painful for you, or if you are pregnant, use a pacemaker or have epilepsy, talk to your health professional before taking part. A sound bath is a listening and rest experience, not a medical treatment, and it does not replace one.
